What is the Women’s Business Council?

The WBC is a small business committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County. The Council consists of 12 women-owned business leaders from diverse industries in Madison County. They serve as advocates for small business to the Chamber on issues that impact small businesses and in particular, woman-owned organizations. The WBC’s small business areas of expertise include accounting, marketing, personnel management and executive management.

What is the WBC Coaching Program?

The WBC has partnered with the Women’s Business Center of North Alabama (WBCNA), a non-profit organization providing counseling to small businesses, to offer short term coaching to local entrepreneurs that require minimum assistance with usually one initial contact and no more than one or two followup exchanges.

Who benefits from the Coaching Program?

Local small business owners, both male and female, benefit by providing helpful hints and coaching from experienced small business owners on day-to-day organizational issues.

What kind of assistance does the WBC Coaching Program provide?

This program is intended to provide short term coaching and usually requires only one initial contact with no more than one or two follow-up exchanges.

Who qualifies for the Program?

Clients of the WBCNA and Chamber members are eligible for this service.

What is the cost of the Program?

The WBC and its representatives provide this service free of charge as contribution to the WBCNA and the community. The Chamber will contact non-members in regards to membership.

Where will coaching take place?

Business coaches will contact advisee to schedule an appointment. Appointments may be done via telephone, email or in person.
