Award 06-22-2005 Dayton, Ohio, June 22 - MTC Technologies, Inc. and subsidiaries (Nasdaq: MTCT), a significant provider of engineering, information technology, and other technical solutions to the Department of Defense and national security agencies, today announced that MTC is a member on three different winning prime contractor teams on the U.S. Army’s Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Express (Expedited Professional & Engineering Support Services) contract. Four large and 13 small business companies won awards on the contract, which has a one-year base period with four one-year option periods. The work will be performed in Alabama and other operating locations. The maximum potential value of the contract is $20 billion for all contractors.
AMCOM requires a variety of services to support and improve the accomplishment of its mission. Thus, the scope of the Express contract is spread across four domains: Business and Analytical, Programmatic, Technical, and Logistics. These services include professional advice and/or expertise of an engineering and technical nature to improve the effectiveness of management processes or procedures. Such services may include providing alternative analyses, evaluations, training, and day-to-day support of ongoing operations.
MTC is on the winning team of Analytical Services, Inc. (ASI), a small business in the “Business and Analytical” domain. MTC is also a subcontractor to CAS, Inc. (CAS), which won a large business award in the “Programmatic” domain. Both ASI and CAS are headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama. MTC is also on the large business award team of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) based in San Diego, California. SAIC will support the “Technical” domain of the Express award.
John Longhouser, President of MTC and its Land Forces Group Executive said, “We are excited to have the opportunity to bring end to end innovative solutions to the AMCOM community through this contract vehicle and to work with our primes to provide the best capabilities to our soldiers. We intend to enhance the reputation we have built based upon delivering what we advertise, with the customer foremost in mind. This is nothing less than our customer expects and our soldiers deserve.”
