Millennium acquires Infoware Systems Inc.Thursday, October 25,
2007
From staff reports
Huntsville Times
Millennium Engineering and Integration Co., which works in Huntsville on missile defense and space projects, has acquired a Florida-based company that specializes in safety sensors for missile launches. Millennium, based in Arlington, Va., employs about 30 people in Huntsville and 180 overall. The privately held company works locally with the Army Space & Missile Defense Command, the Missile Defense Agency and Marshall Space Flight Center. Larry Foor, Millennium vice president for strategies and analysis, said the acquisition of 15-employee Infoware Systems Inc. will allow Millennium to integrate ISI's range safety tools and software into its work for missile defense testing. "This will give MEI the capability to compete for flight safety contracts, and there may be future applications for these tools in the Ares (rocket) development," Foor said. The combined companies will have annual revenue in excess of $30 million, Foor said. |
