Community Bank opens downtown Financial Center
Robert Curtis leads team at new facility on Clinton Avenue

Blountsville-based Community Bank has opened its Financial Center at 312 Clinton Avenue in Huntsville.

Robert Curtis has been named president of the Huntsville market. He is responsible for all consumer, small business and commercial banking activities and continued expansion in the Huntsville market. He is also responsible corporate wide for all commercial lending.

Terri Nicholson has joined the commercial lending department as senior vice president and commercial loan officer in the downtown Financial Center. Nicholson has more than 17 years of banking experience.

Joe Sutton also joins the commercial lending department as senior vice president and commercial loan officer in the downtown Financial Center. Sutton has more than 20 years of banking experience.

Morris Crumpton heads the bank's residential real estate operation, offering mortgage products and services.

Community Bank offers personal and business checking, savings and time deposit accounts, IRAs and consumer, small business and commercial loan products.

It operates 18 offices, primarily in North Alabama. It also has offices in Meridianville, Gurley and New Hope in Madison County.

Community Bank's subsidiary, Community Insurance Corp., an insurance agency based in Huntsville, recently named Gene Gardner, a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, as its president.

Barbara Norman of Southern Select Insurance, a subsidiary of Community Insurance Corp., has recently been promoted to a marketing and underwriting position.

Community Bank also operates a consumer finance company, 1st Community Credit Corporation, which has 15 offices in North Alabama, including two offices in Huntsville.
