Qualis is 'family friendly'

Huntsville-based Qualis Corp. is one of three Alabama businesses to receive the 2005 Family Friendly Certificate of Achievement Award from the Corporate Foundation for Children.

CFC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse, recognizes companies with policies that help parents balance their professional and family lives, said Debbie Wallace, CFC spokeswoman. Other businesses recognized this year are Birmingham-based Compass Bank and Tanner & Guinn LLC, a Tuscaloosa-based business consulting firm.

Qualis, an engineering services firm, was recognized for offering flex time, adoption benefits and other family-friendly policies, Wallace said.
