Local company makes Inc.'s fastest-growing list

Intuitive Research and Technology Corp., a Grand Prairie, Texas-based company whose main office is in Huntsville, is ranked No. 75 on Inc. magazine's 2004 Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing, privately owned companies in the United States.

The company is also ranked No. 2 on the list of defense contractors.

"The entire Intuitive family is honored with this recognition," said A.R. "Rey" Almodovar, the company's president and chief executive officer. "To be selected to this prestigious list is exciting, and to be ranked in the top 15 percent of this elite group is an overwhelming and humbling experience."

Harold Brewer, the firm's vice president, said he believes next year "will be bringing even more opportunities, with our continued growth in AMCOM program management support, our newly opened Electronic Systems Support Laboratory and our new ventures in systems integration test support."

Intuitive has more than 55 employees and sales of more than $8 million.

More than 45 employees support the U.S. Army's Aviation & Missile Command, the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command and the Missile Defense Agency.

Intuitive was co-founded in 1999 by Almodovar and Brewer.
