Huntsville-based Adtran Inc. made Forbes magazine's Hot Shots list of 200 up-and-coming companies.
Adtran, which makes digital telecommunications equipment, was No. 165 on the list, which tracks growth of publicly traded companies with sales between $5 million and $600 million. Scores are based on financial strength, growth in sales and stock price. Adtran is traded on the Nasdaq under the symbol ADTN.
Hibbett Sporting Goods of Birmingham also made the list, coming in at No. 54. Hibbett is traded on the Nasdaq under the symbol HIBB.
Forbes released the list in its Oct. 27 issue.
