Development Opportunities - Overview

Cummings Research Park is a well-established and proven location for companies of research and technology. Since 1962, CRP has served as a shining example of how beneficial a university research park can be - both to the community and the company. Across the nation and around the world, university research parks have become important assets in accelerating the growth of research and technology-based companies.

Approximately 500 acres of land are still available for development within CRP. With a primary goal of stimulating growth and investment, the price of land in CRP is maintained within a highly competitive price range. Land parcels are available in nearly any size, ranging upward from a minimum of five (5) acres. In addition, prior to the sale of the parcel, the City of Huntsville will complete basic site preparation including road access, curbing, utilities, telecommunications, and drainage.

The process of purchasing and developing land in the park is streamlined through the office of the Research Park Director. The Director maintains an office at the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County and provides a single point of coordination, guiding companies through the approval process.
