With 150 new violins, we can enhance our
3rd Grade Violin Program
in every elementary school throughout north Alabama.
That's priceless, too.
Won't you help please?
The Huntsville Symphony Orchestra is embarking on a campaign to purchase violins for our elementary outreach programs. We've been renting instruments since our program began, but we've grown to much that rental is now over $20,000 a year. Our goal is to raise $38,000, which will allow our 3rd Grade Violin Program to continue to provide this valuable education - and grow - in participating school systems in Colbert, Jackson, Lauderdale, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan Counties.
Gifts of any size are welcome, and each donation of $250 will purchase a violin and contribute to the success of the 3rd Grade Violin Program. For each gift of $250, the violin case will have an engraved metal tag attached with the name of the donor, the donor family or company. Gifts in honor of children, grandchildren, friends or favorite musicians, or gifts in memory of loved ones are also welcome, and will be appropriately tagged. All donor names will appear in the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra program book for the 2010-2011 Season.
Gifts of $5,000 will supply a teacher with a complete set of violins, and the donor's name will be permanently stenciled on the cases of the violins.
The 3rd Grade Violin Program has changed lives, opened up new worlds for children, and has led more than a few young people into musical careers. Providing this priceless experience can cost as little as $250. Won't you please help?
