WBCNA Needs Your Help!

The SBA Women's Business Center (WBC)  Program is in danger of being eliminated in Washington.  That is where the WBCNA gets a majority of its funding.

Please take a moment to contact your elected officials to ask them to continue to fund the WBC program.  Below is a draft of what you might say (please feel free to change as so desired).  The best way to get a politician to listen, is to have a lot of people contact him/her.

You can send the letter below electronically to Alabama elected officials (just copy and paste).  Here is the link to their websites:

U.S. House of Representatives:  http://www.house.gov/representatives/#state_al
U.S. Senate:  http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm?State=AL

I am a small business owner and a client of a Women's Business Center (WBC) in Huntsville, Alabama.  I am writing today to ask that you continue funding the SBA WBC program.

I have been able to take advantage of the Center's counseling and training which helped me start and grow my business.  I find that they genuinely care about me and my success and they want to be there for me every step of the way.  I can't get that kind of support and nurturing anywhere else.

Continued funding of WBCs fuels our community's economy and your constituents who utilize the WBC services every day.  Investing in WBCs is an important part of our national economic strategy because I know that small businesses are where new jobs are created.

Please support full funding for Women's Business Centers now and in future years
