Huntsville Company among first to win MiDAESS Award

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) recently announced the award of the first set of winners for the prestigious MiDAESS contracts. APT Research, Inc, a Huntsville based company, was one of the three initial winners with a contract valued at up to $209M. The MiDAESS contracts provide engineering support services to the agency and consist of 10 competitions in various support areas. The other nine competitions have yet to be announced. The APT award is in the area of Quality, Safety, and Mission Assurance support to the agency.

Identical awards were made to 3 companies, each winning the right to compete for individual task orders. Work from the predecessor contracts is expected to begin transferring to this contract by task order in the near future. The team offered by APT includes over 60% of the incumbent workforce, and has approximately 40 teammates. The APT Team includes many local businesses both large (e.g., SAIC, TSI, Nexolve, Cobham, BAH, Wyle and USA) and small (e.g., MTI, DMD, DSI).

APT was founded in Huntsville in 1990, is employee-owned, and is located in Research Park.
