City offers career readiness seminars
for Remington, Toyota, police jobs

Want to know the secret to landing one of the hottest new jobs in town? The City of Huntsville is hosting career readiness seminars on July 29 and Aug. 5 to improve your employment options.

The sessions will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Dr. Richard Showers Recreation Center Community Room at 4600 Blue Springs Road.

Space & Missile Defense Symposium Hosting Veterans Job Fair

HUNTSVILLE, ALA. (July 10, 2014) – The Space and Missile Defense Symposium has partnered with the American Freedom Foundation to create Warriors to the Workforce Hiring Event for veterans. Presented by SourceAmerica™ in association with Still Serving Veterans the event will be held August 12 through August 13, 2014 at the Von Braun Center in Ballroom #5 in Huntsville, AL. As part of the American Freedom Foundation’s nationwide initiative to help veterans find jobs, the event brings together major companies from throughout the country to profile their services and provide employment opportunities for veterans. Attending veterans have the chance to talk with employers, submit qualifications and even participate in job interviews on the spot. Attendance at the Warriors to the Workforce Hiring Event is free and open to veterans, military service members and spouses.

 

In addition to the hiring event, Warriors To The Workforce will include workshops for veterans each day providing resources and information on subjects such as mental readiness, confidence building, networking and presentation skills, resume writing, interviewing techniques, job searching, career planning through goal setting, translating military skills and training into civilian life and corporate experience, among others.
