Rockwell Collins Expands Huntsville Operations
 |
| Rockwell Collins recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of their expanded Huntsville location. Rockwell Collins hopes to add 100 high-skilled jobs to meet the demand of the expansion. Pictured from Left to Right are Mike Meyers, Rockwell Collins Vice President of Business Development; Kent Statler, Rockwell Collins Executive Vice President of Rockwell Collins Services; Evans Quinlivan, Chair of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce; and Ken Schreder, Rockwell Collins Vice President and General Manager of Simulation and Training Solutions. |
Two helicopter pilots are flying over the arid terrain of a Middle Eastern town. In front of them are a cockpit filled with more blinking lights than a Christmas tree and the town square. The pilots fly over the town. Explosions are heard. Terrorist insurgents pop out of rooftops and begin opening fire. Soldiers fire back and eventually neutralize the situation. When helicopter pilots are deployed across seas, this will not be the first time they see this scenario because of simulation technology developed by Rockwell Collins in Huntsville.Rockwell Collins recently announced the grand opening of their state-of-the-art 30,000 square-foot operations center strategically located in Cummings Research Park. The new facility, which represents the combination of multiple divisions into one centralized location, further enhances Rockwell Collins’ accessibility and responsiveness to their many customers in the Huntsville region. Local Law Firm Uses Innovative Technology for
Real Estate Closings
History was made recently in Real Estate as the Southeast’s first electronic closing room was debuted at a ribbon cutting held by Craig Paulus at his law firm, Craig R Paulus PC.
Paulus celebrated the launch of the firm’s e-closing room in late July with friends, family and colleagues. Paulus’ law practice and title company, Paulus Title LLC, are the first in the Southeast to offer this innovation in real estate.
E-closings allow buyers and sellers to view documents online and electronically sign them with a click of the mouse. This new system will reduce time spent on document correction, wasted paper and unanswered questions. The firm’s paperless file system allows users to view their closing documents at their leisure and in advance of the closing, through the firm’s web site www.pauluslaw.com. This advancement in real estate closings is just another step forward in providing the best possible customer service.
