NetwoRx Holds Ribbon Cutting and Open House
NetwoRx is one of the area’s few Microsoft Gold Partners, employing network engineers with more than 20 different certifications in networking, security and application development. NetwoRx offers “one-stop” solutions that are designed, implemented and managed by NetwoRx. “As we are all aware –this community continues to thrive in economic development and job growth, said Rick Davis, Director of Cummings Research Park. “One way to measure that growth is through the success of our growing IT commercial market.” Wayne Gardner, President of NetwoRx, spoke about the company’s history and capabilities before cutting the ribbon. Gardner is a graduate of Troy University and Golden Gate University. He served in the USAF in 1967 where he was deployed in Vietnam and remained in the Air Force for 25 years. After his time in the Air Force, Gardner worked in various positions in the computer and network security industry before partnering with Tom Jerrell to found T & W Holdings in 2004. The company originally planned to refurbish and sell houses, but after a year, they changed focus to computers and became T&W Operations. The company began with two paid employees. The company now has 19 employees who support critical Department of Defense operations and small businesses in the Tennessee Valley. The companies first major project was to develop a supply chain management operation to expeditiously deploy bomb detonating robots to Afghanistan in 2003. “The operation was running at about 50 percent capacity. By the time we finished designing the program, they were running at 100 percent capacity. After our program, 1,350 robots blew up instead of soldiers. The fact that we saved lives is very important to us,” said Wayne Gardner, President or NetwoRx. For more information about NetwoRx, visit http://www.networxhsv.com. |
