Play Ball: TRC Season Opener set for April 7 at
Joe Davis Stadium

The Chamber All-Star line up of volunteers is set to begin the 2008 TRC season on April 7. Fourteen teams, including 90 volunteers led by Scott Seeley, TRC “Commissioner” and president of Bryant Bank, are ready to play ball and score some runs for the Huntsville/Madison County community.

These teams will offer Chamber sponsorship opportunities and memberships to a wide range of small and large companies. The TRC is designed to allow companies to better align their marketing plans with Chamber’s sponsorship opportunities for the entire year and to maximize their return on investment.

The popularity of the TRC continues with unprecedented interest – even before the volunteers get on base. Last year, volunteers were given a goal of $1 million – they met that goal and increased it by almost 25 percent to $1.2 million. Many sponsorships sold out before the campaign ended. This year, these all-stars will try to achieve a goal of $1.2 million by June 19. Funds raised through the campaign goes to directly fund further economic development for the Huntsville/Madison County community.

Training for new volunteers is set for April 7-9 at the chamber. Contact Loren Traylor at 535.2028 for more information about volunteering or sponsorship information or get more information online at www.HuntsvilleAlabamaUSA.com and click on the baseball logo.
