The deadline is in 9 days folks… I know artists are good at putting stuff off, but…! We have had less than 20 applications so far…
REMINDER: Maybe I was a little too subtle on the “scope” or “theme” of this show… (or maybe people skipped over the instructions) but THERE IS NO GEOGRAPHIC LIMIT TO THIS SHOW.
It was felt that people had enough paintings of the Red Bridge …!
If you want to submit your pictures of Paris , that’s OK!
(It’s really “Unique Views of Huntsville Artists” this year…)
Here are the official “Rules”…
Exhibit dates: Monday September 14 thru Sunday September 20, 2009. Public Reception on Sept. 17, 2009
Artwork Subject:
“Representational Art” can depict any geographic area, with emphasis on the “Greater Huntsville area”. (usually sells better…)
“Non-representational Art” (jewelry, pottery, abstract art) need not depict the area, but should be representative of area art. (that means nothing…)
Other comments I’m hearing… “Oh, I don’t have anything new…” Well, unless it hung in a previous UVH Exhibit, it’s eligible, and … I have a lot of things that are not new to ME, but if someone hasn’t seen it, it is new to THEM!! So, bring it!!
And I will still accept art to photograph as long as you deliver it this weekend…!
Just take it to the back room and put a note on it with what you want done…
If you put “For UVH”, I will automatically put the pics in with your application… no worries.
Don’t forget to turn in your application, too!!
