New Look for Madison County Property Tax Notices

Tax payers will notice something different about their property tax notices beginning fall 2009. Previous notices have been on post cards, but beginning this fall notices will be enclosed in an envelope on an 8 1/2” X 11” sheet of paper similar to the size of a mortgage statement or credit card bill. Also enclosed in the envelope is a return envelope. Detach the bottom portion of the notice and insert it and your payment into the return envelope. The new change in format is to allow for more privacy for tax payers. Taxes are due Oct. 1 and become delinquent after Dec. 31.
