Annual Membership Meeting: Simply the *BEST* Members and Volunteers!
On Sunday, April 26, over 70 Land Trust members enjoyed a wine & cheese reception at lovely Monte Sano Lodge and were welcomed by Board Chairman Charlotte Spear.  Attendees learned about recent land preservation successes from Executive Director Cynthia Parker.  Volunteer Coordinator Kim Arnold thanked members for their ongoing volunteer support.  She recognized Volunteers of the Year Ms. Susan Gorrell and Dr. John Cramer.  Volunteers were given flowering dogwoods as tokens of appreciation.

David Young and Lynne Weninegar presented a Powerpoint showing some special trail features and wildflowers on our three nature preserves then led some folks on a short hike.

"Going Green" is more than just a catch phrase

or a color.

It is a thoughtful, determined process with deliberate actions resulting in conservation and preservation of our natural resources.

Land Trust members have chosen to invest their time and resources toward a goal for the greater good - preserving greenspace in North Alabama.  Thanks to our members and supporters,
The Land Trust will continue to be successful in its important mission.

Together,
conserving the places you love.

Praise for Bluebird Cafe Songwriters

"At Vanderbilt's Dyer Observatory, we have had both Don Henry and Jim Photoglo present their wonderful music at our Bluebird on the Mountain summer concert series.  They are super entertainers and the audience will recognize many, many hit songs that they have written.  Huntsville is in for a memorable evening of great music!"
