Jennifer Moore, the Vice President of Tourism for the, was recently named Tourism Professional of the Year by the Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association (AMLTA). Moore received the honor at the AMLTA 2008 Annual Meeting held at Lake Guntersville State Park. Moore supervises the Tourism Department which is comprised of three full-time staff members and more 30 part-time employees. She is an active member of several boards and committees including AMLTA and the Huntsville-Madison County Hospitality Association. Jennifer’s creativity, professionalism and community involvement were recognized as key factors in her selection. At the same meeting, the EarlyWorks Museum Complex was named Attraction of the Year.
Jo Seay Named CVB Employee of the Year Jo Seay, Convention Sales Manager for the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, was recently named the Convention & Visitors Bureau Employee of the Year by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Executives (HSME). Ms. Seay has been with the Bureau for five years and is responsible for the government, state and regional associations markets as well as class and family reunions. She is a Board Member of the Redstone Chapter of the Association of the U.S. Army, past president of HSME and is very active in the Alabama Council of Association Executives. Jo’s positive attitude and her ability to use relationship-based selling to book business were cited as major factors in her selection.
