Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association Installs New Officers and Announces Honorees
The Builders Association also awarded: The “Builder Big Spike of the Year” and “Associate Big Spike of the Year” Award to Brant T. Neely of B. T. Neely Construction Inc. and Tom Pendleton of NPG Construction Inc., respectively. These awards are presented to outstanding members who supported the Association’s new member recruitment and membership retention efforts. The "Jerry L. Siniard Builder of the Year" Award to Sandra Steele, Enfinger Steele Development Inc. This award is presented annually to a builder member of the H/MCBA based on his reputation with home owners, governmental agencies, as a businessman and with fellow members. This award is also based on the builder's participation in both the local and state associations as well as his/her participation in community affairs, civic and service group activities and charitable activities. The "Michael C. Nivens Associate of the Year" Award to Michael Jordan, formerly with Alabama Drywall Supply. This award is presented to an individual based upon his or her participation in the association with regard to activities, attitude, reputation in the business community and reputation with fellow builders and associate members. The “Woman of the Year” Award to Terrie Ledbetter, Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County. Mrs. Ledbetter received this award based upon her leadership abilities, participation in association activities and service to the building industry. Timothy “Tim” R. Reeves, Reeves Custom Homes Inc, and Todd S. Slyman, Slyman Construction Company, Inc. were inducted into the H/MCBA Housing Hall of Fame. The Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association is a non-profit trade organization which has a membership of over 1,300 business firms employing more than 25,000 persons in the Madison County area. Chartered in 1957, the association is a local chapter of the Home Builders Association of Alabama and the National Association of Home Builders. The organization’s members consist of companies and individuals whose primary business is the building industry.
