Green Tie Event

It’s not easy being green. Or we’d all be doing it. That’s why we’re taking this special opportunity to celebrate those organizations and businesses throughout the Tennessee Valley who are leading the way in the motion to “go green.”

Please visit www.greenualabama.com to nominate your favorite “greenie.” The deadline for nominations will be Wednesday, September 16th and the winners will be chosen by our panel of judges.

The winners will be announced on Tuesday, September 22 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm at the Green Tie Event. Dig out your favorite green ties and dresses and join us at the Garden for the official kick-off to Green U, hosted by Mayor Tommy Battle and Mayor Paul Finley. Not only will the winners of the Green Tie awards be announced, but attendees can enjoy fresh, local foods and taste some of the finest “green” wines and beer.
