Our future growth opportunities include the preservation of an already strong economic base; the addition of new and expanded companies offering attractive employment opportunities; the retention and growth of our critical defense and space programs; world-wide recognition of Huntsville as one of the best places to live, work, and do business; and development of our community’s capacity to accommodate future growth.

The Chamber’s commitment to excellence in traditional economic development, by providing for a meaningful return on investment to its supporters and in providing for a constantly improving quality of life for area residents, is as strong as ever before. The Huntsville Regional Economic Growth Initiative is a vision of what our community can and will be given a strong commitment to a compelling opportunity.

As the steward of the Huntsville Regional Economic Growth Initiative, the Chamber of Commerce is committed to achieving a long-term economic development vision for our community through the five key investment strategies outlined in this document. These strategies embrace our community’s expectation of a results-oriented economic development program which will provide continuous benefit to its investors and by which the Huntsville region’s and the Chamber’s economic development performance can be measured.
